APPROVAL OF TREASURER’S REPORT:  Motion by Emily Fisher, seconded by Mike Amos to approve the treasurer’s report as written.  Motion carried.  D.K. Barr noted that a check for $ 200 had bounced to the account but it should be okay by next week.

CITIZEN’S COMMENTS:  Joy Weaver from Home Interiors presented a candle fundraiser.  GVAA would get fifty percent of the sales.  No minimum purchase and free shipping $ 1,500 worth of sales.

Tracy Spisak from “In the Zone” Sports Photography presented her companies capabilities.  Tracy stated “In the Zone” can handle large groups and you can re-order on-line.  Re-shoots and refunds are available if someone isn’t completely satisfied.  Tracy uses GPA lab out of Spokane, Washington.

COMMISSIONER REPORTS:  Heather Parra, football fundraiser commissioner, stated they are having trouble collecting “Football Frenzy” cards.  There have also been multiple winners and several different checks will have to be cut.  TJ Parra said that several parents have had issues with the fundraiser so the fundraiser will not be used next year.  He stated that if they figure out the costs per child for football equipment then maybe next year we can just charge a straight cost and forego the fundraiser.  Ray Ramirez suggested getting a portion of football fee back if you sell a certain amount for the fundraiser.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  None

OLD BUSINESS:

BASKETBALL – DK BARR:  DK reported that registration ends Monday, November 12.  DK is concerned with the number of 4th and 5th grade girl signups.  DK suggested possibly bringing in a team of 5th graders from Oak Grove or letting the 4th graders go and combine 5th, 6th, and 7th grade teams.  TJ suggested inter-leaguing with Lone Jack.  DK will wait until right before the draft to decide what, if any, changes need to be made.

SOCCER CLINICS – MATT NELSON:   Matt stated that there is a possibility of getting soccer clinics set up with the Wizards.  He will look into it further and report more at the next meeting.

ADVERTISING/PR WORK:   TJ stated that we ultimately will have a corner sign up in Grain Valley where there will be sign-up information available all year long.
