MINUTES

The meeting was called to order at 7:06 pm

 

ROLL CALL:

Present: TJ Parra (President), Jeff Fisher (VP), Emily Fisher, D.K. Barr, Rob Desselle Jared Oliverez, Brian Manns

Absent:  Mike Amos, Kevin Quinn

  

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:  Motion by D.K Barr, seconded by Brian Manns to approve minutes as written.  Motion carried.

 

APPROVAL OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE:  Motion by Brian Manns, seconded by Jared Oliverez to approve accounts payable.. Motion carried.

 

CITIZEN COMMENTS:  None

      

COMMISSIONER REPORTS:  Ray Ramirez reported that the following fees needed to be paid for football:

Flag Football Fees - $ 2,300

Tackle Football Fees - $ 2,625.00

Equipment Fees - $ 8,076.08

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS: None

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

Grain Valley Fair Booth – TJ Parra:  TJ reported that he ordered two banners for the booth.  Total cost was $ 164.55.  Motion was by D.K. Barr to pay for the banners.  Seconded by Robert Desselle.  Motion carried.

TJ reported that David Halphin was asked if GVAA would like to run the Beer Garden next year at the fair.  He said that the Beer Gardens made a healthy profit in years past.  Motion to run beer garden next year made by D.K. Barr, seconded by Robert Desselle.  Motion carried.

 

Basketball Rule Changes – D.K. Barr:  D.K reported that she will have the new basketball rules ready for the next meeting.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Sponser Banners – TJ Parra :  TJ reported that a trailer was donated to the GVAA.  It will bet painted and GVAA will have someone pay to advertise on both sides of the trailer.  .

 

 

 

Website Maintenance – Jeff Fisher:  Jeff mentioned that we need to start paying for maintenance of the GVAA website.  A fee of $ 40-$50 a month was discussed with the creator of the website, Johnn Paa.  A motion was made by DK Barr to pay $ 50/month for website maintenance, seconded by Jeff Fisher. Motion carried.

 

Information Managemen – Jeff Fisher:   Jeff mentioned that GVAA needs to get three to four individuals dedicated to managing advertising and getting information to John Paa to put on the GVAA website. 

 

Football – TJ Parra:  TJ announced that football starts this Saturday.
